Seeking the Truth in a Jacked-Up World

As we go be-bopping through life doing our thing, sometimes something stands out to you that’s always been there but you just haven’t noticed… Until now.

Have you ever read Proverbs 14:12? Today, this is that “something” for me.

I have done an entire study on Proverbs and didn’t ever remember reading this verse. If I would have, it may have saved me from a lot of recklessness in my life… Who am I kidding with that line?! I would have done it all anyway… I digress.

“There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end leads to death.”

As I delved deeper into that verse, it got me thinking about how many times I am faced with the choice to venture on different paths. All which appear to be “right” or at least there is a way I can justify them to be considered sorta right.

How are we to decipher them? How are we to know which is right and which is a path to destruction? With these questions, I did the only thing I am sure of. I turned to the Word.

I found Proverbs 14:12 repeated again in Proverbs 16:25. What is Christ trying to teach us through this? I know that from Ephesians 6 the only way we can possibly walk on the right path is to wear the Armor of God. Maybe that’s it right there. The armour gives us our offense and our defense. It makes wisdom readily available.

To be sure we are walking a path free from destruction we have to put on the Armor of God and walk with him.

Seek Him to seek the Truth in a jacked-up world.

It’s as simple and as complicated as that.
